Services typically begin during the junior year (fall is ideal), but I welcome the opportunity to begin as early as 9th or 10th grade.

RTM College Consulting services include (but are not limited to):

  • Evaluation of the academic record
  • Exploration of “must-haves” in a college
  • Recommendations for ACT/SAT test prep, including which tests to take and when
  • Completion of a personality survey based on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) assessment
  • Creation of the college list which is unique to each student
  • Organization with application requirements and deadlines
  • Discussion regarding Early Decision/Early Action programs
  • Direction of writing the essays/personal statement/résumé
  • Explanation of the basics of financial aid and tips for scholarship search (including merit scholarships)
  • Identification of appropriate summer programs and/or advice on how to make the most out of your summer
  • Preparation for admissions interviews
  • Dedication to each student throughout the college search, application, and selection process.

I am also available for small group presentations to discuss topic(s) of your choice. College admissions is a compelling subject and I welcome the opportunity to be a guest speaker at your next event. Whether it’s a Junior Women’s Club Meeting, Networking Luncheon, or simply a Neighborhood Group, I will present a dynamic and interactive presentation that will shed new light on the current college admissions climate.

I do not guarantee admission to any institution, nor do I accept fees from any individual or institution for placement of a student. I do not write the essays for the students. I do not guarantee any scholarship money will be awarded.

I do guarantee that I have the students’ best interest at heart and will guide them through the process with sound advice, a good sense of humor, and unending support.
