Choosing the right college can be challenging and time consuming. IECs bring knowledge, skills, and individualized attention to students and families to help navigate the college admissions process. I strive to make the whole experience more efficient, effective, and less stressful.
Because each student is different, I spend a significant amount of time working closely with each of my clients. I get to know them on a personal level so that I can advise them regarding which colleges will fit their needs. Knowing them personally is also important during the essay brainstorming and writing phase of the process. I know what is important to convey to the colleges and am able to effectively help students choose compelling essay topics that match their unique personalities.
As an IEC, I regularly attend professional conferences and spend time traveling to college campuses in order to have first-hand knowledge about the advice I give to my students. I follow college admission trends closely and have a vast network of colleagues with whom I am regularly in touch in order to share information and news regarding all things college.
Because I am independent of the high schools, my availability is much more flexible and convenient. I meet with students after school and on weekends. I return voicemails, emails, and texts within 24 hours – and in most cases in less time. I work with only 15 students per class in order to ensure the utmost personal attention to each of my clients.
